Introduction to Mindful Self Compassion

Come spend the day together! We will have three hours in the morning, three in the afternoon, time for lunch, and will learn, practice, and share together. We will learn a little bit of science and theory, practice core MSC meditations, do some writing exercises, share about our experience, and identify ways to bring self compassion into our daily lives. This short introduction to the basic concepts and some of the practices of MSC happens online or in Nevada City, or at your location. If you are curious about the possibility of becoming a better friend to yourself, then this is the class for you! This class requires a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 8. Free.

Mindful Self Compassion, 8 weeks plus retreat, ONLINE

Weekly, for 2.5 to 3 hours each week for 8 weeks, with an additional session of 3-4 hours of retreat. Online via Zoom.

Next class begins March 20, 2025 with co-teacher, Dr. Regina Lazarovich

This class is the full MSC curriculum, taught in 8 weeks, with an additional week after session 5 for a retreat. I usually teach this class online with another wonderful MSC teacher. We'll travel together, learning with both our heads and our hearts about how to meet all parts of ourselves with acceptance and kindness in the midst of our human foibles and failings. In between the weekly sessions, you will be invited to experiment with new practices on your own. By the end of this series, you'll have a toolbox filled with formal and informal practices as well as the lived experience of practicing in community to sustain you on your self-compassion journey beyond our course.
