Background & Training

Judith Hill-Weld, M.S., is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (California License #38526), a trained teacher of Mindful Self Compassion, an author, and a consultant to other therapists and nonprofit organizations.

Initially grounded in family systems and client centered approaches, Judith then trained in psychodynamic, dialectical, trauma informed, and third wave approaches (particularly Acceptance & Commitment Therapy). She has written and presented for NADD on providing therapy for people with intellectual and developmental disability. She also has specialized training in Multiple Sclerosis and in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Judith is a Self Compassion Informed Therapist and an MSC teacher, trained through the Center for Mindful Self Compassion.

Judith finds great joy in helping people whose lives are impacted by disability, illness, loss, major transition, or stress, or those simply driven by a deep desire to grow.
